Mission Statement

New Dorp Christian Academy’s mission is to educate students who are prepared academically and spiritually for today’s world. Our aim is to foster academic, spiritual, and emotional growth by focusing on the student comprehensively. By providing a biblical perspective for all instruction, our students are better equipped to meet the challenges of their educational journey and be a testimony for Jesus in our world.

Philosophy for Education

New Dorp Christian Academy’s foundational belief rests on the absolute necessity to provide an education that is built on a biblical worldview. Scripture is the cornerstone on which we build. Using biblical principles found in the infallible authority of God’s word, students are taught to see this perspective in every subject. This philosophy allows students to see God in every aspect of their lives.

Biblical Worldview

The goal of NDCA is to establish a biblical worldview in our students. A biblical worldview is one that rests on our foundational belief that the Word of God is true and that it brings meaning and value to the academics of our teaching. This biblical perspective guides our discussions, our personal interactions, and how we live out our beliefs in the face of opposition. By worldview, we simply mean that a biblical perspective is not limited to one area of our education or life. It is encompassing of all we learn, do, and model to our students.

Bryan Smith, Ph.D., noted textbook author and Christian educator, summarizes:

"Unless we view all of life from the vantage point of a Biblical worldview and teach our children to do the same, purpose and meaning are interpreted through the lens of secular humanism which is man-centered rather than God-centered."
